NotesRegarding the diffusion of the work, Schmidt points out that: 'in Carniola /.../ in the first years after publication, the deaneries, which also had a main school on their territory, received barely a few thousand copies of the first German reader per year, i.e., even less than bilingual grammar books, although the reading compositions were supposed to be used as reading exercises for grammar books.' (Schmidt, 1988, 284) Regarding the other authors who were involved in the creation of this and other Močnik's works, see: (Žigon and Almasy and Lovšin, 2017, 103-104).
